Thursday, July 7th - Loveland Gets New Fire Chief...  Mike Chard has been officially named as Loveland ’s new fire chief.  Chard had served as acting chief since April, following the departure of former fire chief Mark Miller.  Chard came to Loveland Fire and Rescue as deputy chief last November.....  more  


Wednesday, July 6th - Recycle Center Now Accepting Electronics and Computers... Did you know computers contain hazardous materials, such as lead, zinc, nickel and cadmium? Throwing old computer equipment in the trash will result in these hazardous materials leaking into the environment when dumped in the landfill. So what should you do with them.... more  


Tuesday, July 5th - Three Teens Rescued From Poudre River...  On the Fourth of July 2005, around 5:00 P.M. three females were stranded on a small ‘island’ in the Cache Le Poudre River near Kinikinik and West Hwy 14 while tubing.... more  

Fireworks Light Up Lake Estes...  The annual fireworks display in Estes Park was held Monday evening on the shores of Lake Estes. Thousands of residents and visitors turned out to watch the 5th largest display in Colorado.... more  

Youth Collapses and Dies On Trail...  A seventeen year old male collapsed near the Westbranch trail, northwest of Chambers Lake in Larimer County at approximately 10:30 A.M. on Monday.... more

Two Die In Boating Accident On Boyd Lake... During a family picnic at Boyd Lake, Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2005, six family members were boating when it capsized.  It is speculated that high winds were the primary cause of the accident.   The gathering had 20 to 30 in attendance with family and guests from out of Colorado and out of the United States.....  more

Couple Missing Along Hwy 287... On Thursday, June 30, 2005 a daughter of Anastasia Renee Martinez, 41 years old, called to report her mother missing.  Her last contact with her mother was by phone, on the 27th of June 2005.... more


Friday, July 1st - Plague Found In Fort Collins Pet Cat...   The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment reports that a pet cat in Fort Collins has been diagnosed with plague.  Test results confirmed the diagnosis on June 28, although the cat was first treated by a veterinarian on June 8.... more
