Wednesday, November 30th - Sheriff's Annual Children's Holiday Party...

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden has announced his annual Children’s Holiday party to be held on December 5, 2005, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Mountain Range Shadows Clubhouse at 8401 Mummy Range in Fort Collins.  Larimer County children will be transported in Sheriff’s Office busses and escorted by patrol cars to the “Winter Storyland.”  The boys and girls will be met at the door by staff dressed as elves, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The highlight of the evening has always been the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus midst emergency lights and sirens.  A group photo will be taken of the Clauses and the children.  Ronald McDonald will once again delight the children with his Magic Show.

The Boy Scouts of America will take each child through the wide assortment of games and activities that are planned for all ages.  Of course, Sheriff’s Deputies will be on hand to distribute hot chocolate, cookies and other goodies throughout the evening.

As the party comes to a close the children will be escorted home along with memories of a special holiday night.

Sheriff Alderden would like to thank the Boy Scouts, Weitzel and Sons Excavating, Windsor Chamber of Commerce and K B Toy Outlet in Loveland for their help in making this evening possible.
